About Us
Tierras Altas Academy was created out of need to provide a proper education for children in Volcan, Chiriqui.
We want to build the community through education, allowing growth and opportunity for as many people as we can, striving to inspire, challenge and empower our students.
Tierras Altas Academy is a non-profit, bilingual school that brings a new style of education and learning to Volcán and its surrounding communities. Our mission for the school is to create a hands-on and well-balanced international education.
Our Program
Our philosophy is to equip students with lifelong education and worldwide perception. Our teaching follows a constructivism philosophy where children construct their own learning through play and exploration with a bit of scaffolding to expand their knowledge. We believe in the idea that the child must feel loved and safe before learning begins. We look forward to teaching your children and helping them become lifelong learners.
