History

Hello, my name is Michelle Driskill. I am the pre-kinder and kindergarten English teacher. I was born and raised in Huntington Beach, California. I have been a preschool teacher in the United States for over 11 years. I worked in Kyoto, Japan for a year and a half, teaching kids from ages 1-7 English, Math and Art. In the last two years, I have worked at Instituto Bilingual Paulletino teaching pre-kinder and kindergarten English.

My personal philosophy is to be a lifelong-learner. I am truly inspired by young children and the way they perceive the world. It gives me great joy, and it enhances my own learning. They inspire me to stay young and continue to explore and learn new things. My teaching style is constructivism; I believe that children construct their own learning through play and exploration with a bit of scaffolding to expand their knowledge.

I believe in the idea that first the child must feel loved and safe before learning can begin. I look forward to teaching your children and helping them become lifelong learners.

My name is Julissa Troetsch Cáceres de Serrano and I live in Guadalupe de Cerro Punta. I am currently studying at the University of Cartago.

I discovered my passion for working with children thanks to previous jobs as a nanny and chose to study education at the University of Cartago. Teaching is a wonderful career that should be done with love and compassion. By teaching we are shaping future generations and our country, and it gives me the chance to be an example for my community.

In my spare time, I enjoy walking, listening to music, spending time with my family, and creating games to play with the students.
