We are happy to announce that Tierras Altas Academy will offer 7th grade classes in the 2024 school calendar.
Tierras Altas Academy has a library with over 2,600 books available for the students to check out. The students have a library class weekly where they are able to explore and check out our wide range of books to take home. The students learn about how the library is set up and how to locate books that encompass their interests. The teachers also use the library to take books that relate to areas of interest and study in the individual classrooms.
We encourage parents to come and check out books for their children during parent library check-out which is Monday and Thursday from 12:30 – 1:30 and 3:00 to 4:00. Here at Tierras Altas Academy, one of our goals is to encourage the students to foster a love for reading and knowledge.
Our library was established by Chris Thomas, a retired librarian with 23 years of experience in Elementary Library Science. We have been fortunate to have this resource and guidance in establishing our library program.
